Birth of more than 600 turtles of an endangered breed on an island in Watanya

The Environment Authority in Abu-Dhabi revealed the birth of more than 600 endangered Hawksbill turtles on an island in Watanya during this year. This was announced during the press conference held in the Authority, Abu Dhabi on the occasion of the visit made by "New Seven Wonders of Nature" delegation, aiming to see voting campaign achievements and identifying Watanya Island to be one of the new seven wonders of nature.

Jan Paul De Lavoyti, Director – Seven Wonders of Nature Organization, main office in Switzerland, praised the campaign for attracting the attention of interested people for voting to the Island and increasing the awareness of the rich biodiversity in Emirates.
